The convenience fee is a separate fee and customers are encouraged to pay by check or cash to avoid additional credit card fees. Collection of the convenience fee is pursant to Iowa Code 321M.9. This will be verfied by looking up the property tax payment if proof is not provided. **Please Note** Beginning September 2023, customers wo do not reside in Benton County will be assessed a $10 convenience fee for driver's license services unless they pay property taxes in Benton County.
